Insect Frass is an all-natural fertilizer produced on sustainable insect farms from flour beetle droppings. Their larvae breed in food waste and produce this excellent fertilizer for all types of plants. This natural product of sandy consistency and brownish-brown color has no odor and feels like a dry granule to the touch.
Due to its origin and the characteristic chitin content of this species, the product favors the systemic resistance of plants and their activation against the appearance of pests and pathogens.
Features
It contains a large amount of essential nutrients, as well as organic matter, while maintaining an optimal carbon/nitrogen ratio. This characteristic, together with its neutral pH value, improves soil properties and plant interactions with the environment at all levels.
Main characteristics: fixes environmental nitrogen, solubilizes free phosphorus and potassium in the soil, reduces stress of abiotic origin, increases crop yield, improves the soil, inhibits the formation of pathogenic fungi and bacteria.
Guaranteed richness
Total nitrogen (N) 5.00% w/w - Phosphorus (P2O5) 4.00% w/w - Potassium oxide (K2O) 3.00% w/w - Magnesium (MgO) 0.85% w/w - Organic Matter 72% w/w - C/N ratio 8.2 - Moisture 12% w/w - pH 6.1-6.5
Application and dosage
The most common form of incorporation is by applying directly on the soil, being advisable to carry out a superficial burying work.
Large crops: 500 to 750 kg per hectare for tomato, bell pepper, eggplant, cucumber, cabbage, leeks, asparagus, strawberries, melons, watermelons, potatoes, carrots, etc.
In fruit trees apply 1 to 1.5 kg per tree per year.
Orchards and small gardens: to prepare new orchards, apply 0.5 to 1 kg per 30 square meters and mix thoroughly on top (5-7 cm of soil). For new transplants, add 5 to 10 grams per hole, mix into the soil and water well. To feed established plants, apply 25 to 50 grams, depending on plant size and desired growth rate, once a month for the life of the plant.
Containers and pots: For new plantings, add 2.5 to 5 grams per liter of substrate and mix well. To feed established plants, apply 2 grams per liter of substrate to the soil surface once a month for the life of the plant.
